SCP FOUNDATION ARTICLE
I have worked for several months on writing an article for the SCP foundation wiki. Currently standing at 11k words, over 15 people have submitted constructive criticism and shared their appreciation for my writing of dialogue and presentation.
The screenshot on the left shows the first parts of it.
Working on this and getting critique from it has taught me a lot about narrative and allowed me to learn coding and formatting for a story in the form of a government-style file.
Worlds Apart
I have created a series of characters, developed a plot and contributed many ideas to the development of a story arc for a trilogy of illustrated books aimed at young readers
This fantasy series is a collaboration between me, my sister and my father. It is set in a world where Scotland and Japan are separated by an ocean.
The Mosslings for OBOJIMA
I created a special species of creature for 'Worlds Apart' called a Mossling. Inspired by Japanese reverence for moss gardens, mosslings are sentient balls of moss with a very affectionate nature, enhanced by empathic abilities.
OBOJIMA - A D&D SOURCEBOOK INSPIRED BY STUDIO GHIBLI published 2024
Obojima announced a competition for the best creatures to be published in the book and become part of the lore for the Ghibli-inspired world. I submitted the description of the Mossling with its creature mechanics to a crowd competition in which the top 10 would be published. After months of voting by over 23,000 users it was voted up to 4th place out of more than one thousand entries winning inclusion in the book.
In this photo you can see an artist's interpretation of a Mossling which has been made into a table top for the '1985 Games' office.
Below you can see illustrations of some characters and plot ideas which I contributed for the book trilogy 'Worlds Apart'. All illustrations are by Alex Maclean ©2024.
